  • Belinda Loh, PhD &
  • Prasanth Manohar, PhD

We welcome submissions that include, but are not limited to:

  • Engineering phage components for targeted delivery of molecular payloads (e.g., DNA, RNA, proteins).
  • Novel applications of phage display and next-generation screening or evolution platforms.
  • Structural studies (cryo-EM, cryo-ET, X-ray crystallography) revealing mechanisms of phage assembly, host
recognition, genome packaging, genome ejection, or conformational dynamics.
  • Phage-derived enzymes (e.g., lysins, polymerases, recombinases, integrases, nucleases, anti-CRISPR proteins,
packaging motors) for molecular diagnostics, genome editing, nanomechanical systems, and high-efficiency
    biochemical reactions.
  • Use of phages and phage proteins as programmable scaffolds for synthetic biology, biomaterials, and nanomaterial
    construction.
  • Development or repurposing of phage transcription, replication, and regulatory systems for biotechnology, cell-free
    production, or regulated expression platforms.
  • Studies on phage-encoded mechanisms of gene regulation and their integration into synthetic control circuits.
  • Mechanistic and structural insights from clinical phage biology informing delivery strategies or rational therapeutic
    platform design.
