Staphylococcus aureus is a challenging pathogenic bacterium due to its antibiotic resistance. The study introduces a zebrafish embryo model to assess bacteriophage efficacy against S. aureus infection. The findings demonstrate that bacteriophage treatment is as effective as vancomycin in enhancing survival rates and reducing bacterial load in infected embryos. This study validates the use of the zebrafish embryo model for assessing bacteriophage efficacy treatments in vivo.
