New Publication: Pseudomonas phage Motto, as a candidate for phage therapy

Infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa are becoming harder to treat due to multidrug resistance. Phage therapy has gained attention as an alternative treatment. The Pseudomonas phage Motto is bactericidal and has shown activity against biofilm. It can clear P. aeruginosa infections and exhibited biofilm-degrading properties. In cytotoxicity studies, it was found to be safe for human cell lines. In an in vivo model, the phage demonstrated efficacy in Caenorhabditis elegans with a 90% survival rate. Phage Motto has efficient enzymes that degrade biofilms, making it a valuable therapeutic candidate.
