In the growing world of infectious diseases, it is important to diagnose a disease as early as possible to prevent its complications. Talking from infection (bacteria) point-of-view, the use of antibiotics is critical for the treatment. Therefore, the new diagnostic tools not only detected the bacterial infection in the patients sample but also identified their antibiotic susceptibility pattern. An early identification resulted in easy treatment and broaden the treatment option in the case of antibiotic-resistant infections. As a phage scientist, we are looking for antibiotic alternatives to treat multi-drug resistant infections. That results in phage therapy which can be used to treat bacterial infections. Now, we have to know identify whether a chosen phage is killing the bacteria (infection site). For this, new tools can be designed that could identify the bacterial susceptibility to bacteriophage.
